I have never been to a Mexican wedding before, but I can tell you that after this one I want to go to more! SO MUCH FUN!!!!
We started with a beautiful venue.
And a beautiful bride!
You might remember these two from this post. It was great to spend time with them again.
The colors, the high spirits, the celebration, the ceremony full of symbolic tradition and all in Spanish. Let’s remember, I took 5 years of Spanish in school and do you think I can understand a word… NOPE. It was a guessing game and to tell you the truth, that made it even more fun.
The parade of colorful bridesmaids, all with different dresses was spectacular.
The ceremony had so many important parts, I could not even begin to explain each of them, but I can show you some of what we experienced.
Coins – symbolizing finances – what’s mine is now yours…
Liz will leave the fresh flowers at the alter…
and leave with a gorgeous artificial bouquet.
We had a beautiful day in Wenatchee and Liz and Manuel were so relaxed and obviously having fun every step of the day.
You are so gorgeous, stunning and beautiful Liz.
and handsome Manuel was at ease with his beautiful bride.
Now, I have to show you the dresses in this wedding party! WOW! And the girls… another WOW!
This little guy thought so too! Even more beautiful dresses and girls!
This was a fun group of girls for sure! Can you see the bride in there?
Remember this… it’s not the last time you will see Manuel lifted in the air! Reception… hint, hint.
So happy together!
The reception was held at a local Wenatchee night club and it was quite the celebration… there was time between the ceremony and the reception to freshen up and get ready for a long night of singing, dancing, eating, and listening to the BEST Mariachi Band I have ever heard! This was like no other reception I have ever been to! We were so entertained the entire night.
The first dance… look at the young girls in the back ground of the picture on the left. Made me laugh.
Then the dancing… when the dancing began… there was no telling what would happen next! All kinds of traditional dances at first, but then the conga lines broke out, the throwing (of people – bride and groom mostly) and the almost stripping (of the groom), but we won’t show any pics of that last part.
The band was INCREDIBLE… the music stuck in my head for days… and days… and days….
Let’s not forget the children, oh my, the clothes, the dancing, the happiness, all of it left me smiling.
Before the party even ended (I’m sure it went to the wee hours in the morning), we headed back to our hotel room… both of us humming and happy to be part of such a great celebration!
Congratulations Liz and Manuel and thank you for including us on such a special day!
