Vanna is from Emerald Ridge High School and she is a beauty! She braved the freezing cold weather to hang out with me on Saturday for her senior portraits.
I’m glad she did, the light was beautiful and we were able to get some great stuff despite my cramped and freezing hands. I asked her what her favorite color was and she said green, so we found several green walls to use.

I love the hint of snow in this one. Vanna is from Cali and not a huge fan of the snow, so we kept it out of most of our shots. I also made sure that the images were on the warm side, since that represents her
and I have really been liking that look lately.
Vanna is a fast pitch catcher, so we had to get a few shots of her letterman’s jacket. Have you noticed that black leather sleeves are the newest thing in letterman’s jackets? It’s what my son, Nick wants for his too (a next year’s purchase!) and yikes, these things are NOT cheap, but I love that they represent the hard work our kids put into to achieve them! I love celebrating that.
I have used this iron before, but I just love the pattern. This is the real Vanna, casual and laid back.
Hard to stay focused with a bunch of guys watching and a few yells from afar at Vanna. I did manage to capture the blush
.
The beautiful classic pose I do with EVERY senior (even guys, but a little different for them)… I think this always manages to show off their eyes.
What great color! This beauty is going into the Army after school and will be studying dentistry. She does have gorgeous teeth!
One of my FAVORITES. I love the look on her face… so strikingly beautiful!
And another FAVORITE. Again, I think it’s the colors that I like so much. I have been a bit obsessed with color lately. It’s been so yummy that I find it hard to change any of the images.
I did manage to change this one though and I love it in black and white.
Trying to stay warm.
Vanna’s mom, Judy came along on the shoot, so we got some of the two of them. These are 3 of my favorites, but there are more! They were so fun together. I could tell how much Vanna respected her mom and how much her mom adored her.
Another FAVORITE. I love the emotion. This just says I LOVE YOU, doesn’t it!
Vanna relaxing again. Doesn’t she know we’re on a photo shoot?
I was into my primary colors for this shoot – a little yellow, blue, red and green
.
Lashes.

I liked how this showed her hair off with both the length and braid.
I will end with this one, just natural…
More seniors coming soon and hopefully the weather will warm up just a little for them. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the cool weather and would take it over hot ANY day, but lately, it has been a bit colder than I would want to be comfy outside.
Leave Vanna some comment LOVE or visit my fan page and leave some there. It’s always good for people to get comments. It just feels good
