Julian is a Bellarmine Senior and a great person to be around.
He was dreading his photo shoot according to mom and really did not want this day to come… but I made sure we went to some cool spots, so he would see how much fun this could be.
We got a lot of variety too (we would have gotten more at this location, but we got chased away by the security guard
).
Soon after starting I think Julian realized that it was not as bad as he thought it would be.
In fact, he admitted to me it was actually a lot of fun!
What a great compliment.
He was so relaxed in front of my camera and so cooperative. We could have kept on going!
So we did
… all over Tacoma! I love doing that with “my” seniors. We even stopped at Bellarmine.

OK, I know I use graffiti a lot, but I love it! I am attracted to the artistic ability of the artist and the great colors they use. It’s just so interesting, don’t you think?
Got to get the classic too
.
My FAVORITE shot of the session.
Now, there is a “rule” in photography that I usually follow… focus on the eye closest to you. But who says I have to ALWAYS follow that rule? I think it looks pretty cool breaking the rule! Since I am not technically trained and just go by my gut, I am allowed to do that and not feel guilty.
Julian is a soccer player (and on the track team), so we included a few shots of his sports as well.
Who says you can’t wear a sweater in August? I think here, it is acceptable!

I bought these bright circles of carpet and leave them in the back of my van. You never know when I am inspired to use them.
I love the simplicity of this image.
What a great shoot. So glad you had fun Julian!!
You should ALWAYS listen to your momma…
