I have been posting so many families lately, that I thought I would break it up a bit and post a recent senior shoot. Hope that’s ok with you
. Don’t want you getting bored! Can’t have that!
Dara’s lived here when she was a child, but is now living in Florida. She is up visiting her grandpa with her mom, Carrie and brother, Christian (pictured) while her dad is serving overseas.
She saw some senior portraits I did for Olivia and wanted artsy shots for her senior pictures too. I LOVE that!!! It’s such a joy to me when people appreciate the artsy side of photography. It is what I love the most, it’s what keeps me up at night, thinking of new ways to be creative.
As you can see, Dara is stunningly beautiful.
Her mom told me that she loves Europe, so I found this cobblestone alley that reminded me of something you would see in Europe (not that I have been there) and it happens to be right next to the school Dara attended as a child. I didn’t know that until we arrived at the location.
I love her jacket, don’t you?

Christian was so good while we concentrated on Dara. He just sat on the side with his Thomas the Train lunch pail. Too cute!!!
I wanted to get a few interesting angles, so walked around Dara and realized what an amazing chin line she has and her skin, flawless.
I have never had skin like her’s! I love this shot and if you can believe it, it’s practically straight out of the camera with just a tiny bit of boost in color!
Since Dara likes being different we thought we would have some fun with a top hat. These images are my favorite of the shoot.
Especially this one!!! You can’t fake this kind of laugh. It’s for real!

I really like exploring all around town with my seniors. We have fun just finding new spots to try out. I have been down this same street many times before, but each time we are able to pick new spots that look totally different from the last time we were there. The colors are fabulous!
Just a little note, Amanda, my daughter, made the flower in Dara’s hair.
This one too, even though you can’t see it as well.
What a wonderful smile.
Carrie is vegan, so I took her to a local bakery that has a selection of vegan cupcakes and while we were there we got a shot of Dara sitting at the table. The light from the window was just beautiful.
Really, a senior shoot is part photo session, part sightseeing. It is so much fun showing people places they have never been. It’s part of the on-location experience.
Dara loves the Northwest and when I think of the northwest I think of water, woods, trains and a relaxed, laid back atmosphere. We didn’t get to the water for this shoot, but we did manage to find the rest.

I’m not sure what she is leaning on but I like it!
I love how her hair cascades over the pipes.
One last one… just simple and relaxed.
It’s a wrap on another favorite shoot!
SMILES… and have a great week. I will be posting a few more shoots this week, if I can get them all processed in time. I also have a scavenger hunt coming up!
Thanks for hanging out with me friends.
