Like most guys that get their senior pictures taken, Aaron came not super excited, but ok with the idea, since I am his Aunt, haha .  It’s up to ME to make it fun and not such a horrible experience… sit here, smile, stand here, turn that way… walk walk walk, sit here, etc.  Nope, instead we have fun, we laugh and joke and by the end I have a model on my hands !!Aaron is going to a 2 year community college before he makes his decision on a 4 year college.  He plans to play baseball the whole time though!Aaron wanted simple, so we just went to a cool parking lot location downtown and used whatever was around that area.  I love just walking around and exploring and see what cool stuff we can find.  Sometimes it just doesn’t matter too.  It’s about the person more!Lettermen’s jackets are great, since they show such individual personality.  They are designed by the senior and represent them well.  I think it’s important to capture a memory of that, just in case someday that jacket is no longer around, this image will be!
We ended our session at Roger’s High School, since Aaron really wanted some baseball shots.I went for an old time feel in this one.Thanks Aaron, for wanting your Aunt to capture your senior portraits!  It was an honor!  xoxoxo

She volunteers at Tacoma General, is involved with the Diversion Program held at Remann Hall, she is the Student Activities Chairperson and is on Student Council.

The classic pose!  I saw these flowers in the ground and knew we just had to use them in one of our images. What an incredible tree and location!  This is the private gardens of the gated community.  I could have taken pictures there all day long!So many cool little areas to use.Sarah plans on going to a liberal arts college in California, but when we had our shoot she was undecided as to which one and what she planned on studying.She loves listening to music, fashion, photography, traveling, and reading.We had such a great time out in this field with the gorgeous light!  She really wanted the sun drenched look and we were so thankful that the day we scheduled was one of those beautiful sunny spring days!She was willing to do whatever I asked of her and loved what we captured while just having fun!These little flies were gathering around her and I loved how they looked… almost like little fire flies .Sarah, you are just so beautiful and so much fun!!!Thank you for making my job so rewarding!  

Megan likes music – listening and playing – sailing – traveling – museums, and so much more!Megan has been on 3 summer mission trips with her youth group and has such a joy for life.I really love this image!  I love what you can find downtown.  So many options and each so unique!Megan plans on attending a 4 yr university – still trying to decide between Oregon State, Colorado State and Montana State Universities.She plans on studying Engineering or a science related field and/or computer science on possibly playing in the orchestra on the side just for fun.She plays violin with the Tacoma Youth Symphony and also plays piano and sings in the church choir.I haven’t done an eye shot in a while, so we decided to do one .The classic pose.I love that my job takes me to all kinds of fun locations. I love just being outside and enjoying all that our city has to offer.  We live in such an awesome place! Megan has two sailing certifications and has done two independent science research projects – one on the survivability of trout eggs which won a national award and one on biofuels research.Yes, the water was cold, but she had fun anyways!Megan has played several times at the Rialto theater, so she really wanted a few shots in front of it to remember this time in her life.What a great session!  Thanks Megan and family!  I had a wonderful day with you all!

And style!I love when seniors bring their pets.  Ali wants to be a dental hygienist some day and loves listening to music.  She wanted her session at the very popular Chambers Bay.  Now, you have heard me say before that my favorite place to shoot is a place I have never been.  That is true, but there is something to be said about a location you have been to many times as well.  It challenges me to think differently and use spaces there I haven’t in the past.  I love this image we captured in a new spot .It was slightly windy, but so beautiful!Another different spot we found .The classic pose.  It’s always hard to maintain that non-smiling face!I love this shot of Ali!Letting some of that sun shine through .My favorite image, not only because I love it, but because it made us laugh the hardest.  She was (above) and I asked her to come a little forward and this is what I got.  I love seniors!Her next destination, Sunnyside beach.This sand is a little course, but we aren’t complaining, since many of our beaches are rocks, but I did just get back from Florida and that sand is so amazing!!!  Like powder. Crazy!Hmm, that sunset light…Sunnyside has the most beautiful sunsets!  Thanks Ali for a wonderful shoot!!!  You were awesome!
