Conner Family Part 2 – Happy Anniversary

The one thing about being busy is that it is hard to find time to blog. I have 18 shoots booked this month (including 2 weddings) and 10 next month. I am trying so hard to keep up and having fun doing so, but it means that I am not blogging my scavenger hunts like I should. Soon I will catch up again:). It’s a good problem to have!

I did want to take time though and make this very special blog post.

You remember my last post of the Conner’s, well, before that one took place this one did. Barb and the boys arrived a few days earlier than Marc and that gave us the opportunity to do a special shoot just for him.

Marc and Barb – what wonderful boys you have!

We saw this car in the alley and I just had to grab a shot for you Marc… from the boys!

You see, it is Marc and Barb’s 19th wedding anniversary TODAY and Barb wanted to get him something SPECIAL. When I asked her why she wanted a shoot of her and the kids, this is what she told me.

“Family is the number one priority to Marc. He is a devoted father, a loving husband, and a caring son. His family means everything to him and I wanted him to see what his love and devotion has produced- three beautiful (handsome) boys, two very proud parents, and a wife who loves him more today than the day we married.”

They brought along their Karate outfits too.

Barb tells me that Marc was the first to start this activity. He originally started in college and after many years he began again once we moved to Lexington. Gradually each boy was introduced and hooked.

Matthew (14) currently has a first degree black belt.

Noah (11) is a junior black belt.

Isaac (8) has his red belt.

Barb joined a little over a year ago and is currently a red belt.

Marc has his third degree black belt in American Freestyle and his second degree black belt in Shotokan and is currently one of the instructors.

Karate is an activity this family does together and it all started with Marc.

They met in the seventh grade, but officially started dating on her 15th birthday (they have Joe and I beat since we started dating 5 days before Joe’s 16th birthday). They didn’t date exclusively that whole time but remained best friends throughout. They finally got married August 17, 1991 and are living happily ever after…

Marc, to you… from your loving and devoted wife, Barb. Isn’t she stunning?!

And from your boys… laughter captured!

And a little craziness too!

Happy Anniversary! May God continue to have a hand in your life and carry you through to the many years you have ahead of you. We love you.
