Blackmon Family – Family Portraits

You remember the Blackmon’s, right? I did their family portraits last year too at the Lakewold Gardens during the summertime. This year we decided to do them during the fall at Wright Park. It’s hard to beat the foliage there right now!

This family is BUSY to say the least!

Hannah is 9 and in the 4th grade, but since she is home-schooled she is working above her grade level in all subjects. She loves, Tae Kwon Do, outdoor activities, bike riding, skiing, playing baseball and basketball with Dad, piano, bell choir and two singing choirs, drawing, and sewing. Phew, that’s a lot!

Matthew is almost 5 ½. He’s technically in kindergartener by age, but again is working above grade level since he is home-schooled. He loves, Tae Kwon Do, outdoor activities, bike riding, skiing, playing baseball and basketball with Dad, playing drums and other musical instruments, and any rough and tumble boy activity. Another phew!

They all wore their boots for the shoot and these aren't rain boots! <img class="p3-insert-all size-full aligncenter" src="http://www.connieriggiophotography.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/IMG_6484.jpg" width="900" height="600" alt="Tacoma Family Portrait Photographer" title="Boots" />

Fun on a beautiful fall day!

Matthew is quite the clown!

I think we’ve all felt this way… lol

But Hannah is a close second to the clown status!

They are both performing in the production Oliver in November. You should go check them out if that sounds like fun.

Matthew was showing us his pocket full of chestnuts.

So, we were in the park taking pictures, when we noticed a woman walking her dog in the distance. He had stopped and was slowly stalking a squirrel. When I say slowly, I mean sssllooowwwlllyyy… this was the most patient dog I have ever seen. We were cracking up watching him. Hannah is showing me how he is walking… come to find out he tries to get a squirrel every time he comes to the park… without success, LOL.

Cute kids, these two!

What! Is this a loving moment captured forever? I think it just might be!

Some images I like for their clarity, some for their emotional content and some for the overall feel. This one is the overall feel. Is it clear, nope, but it doesn’t matter, I love it anyways. A perfect picture of a sunny fall day in the park!

I love pictures of families laughing.

When the kids first arrived at the shoot, they didn’t seem so excited. They were worried about getting to an event happening at church, but that didn’t last long. Soon they had forgotten all about that and instead were just busy having fun at the park.

This image cracks me up! Such a typical brother sister moment!

Hannah is currently a junior black belt. She will be going for her black belt on Dec. 10. Pretty exciting don’t you think! I’m sure she could kick my butt!

Matthew is currently an orange belt.

This looks very similar to last year’s ending picture! I think they had more stamina this year though!

It was great seeing you all again! Bob, tell everyone hi at work… Oh, did I forget to tell you, Bob and I used to work together at REI. I miss those people and think of all of them often:).
