I know what you are thinking… you think I forgot about the scavenger hunt… well I didn’t! I have just been so busy these last few weeks with senior portraits, engagement sessions and Cake Central shoots that I haven’t found the time to post, but I will… probably a double post on Sunday!
Elyse and Marek are getting married in October and we are so happy to be their photographers!
It’s fun doing engagement shoots for wedding clients, since it’s a great time to get to know each other better.

(The church they are getting married in)
We spend about 3 hours driving around hopping in and out of the car, talking a lot and laughing even more.
I have wanted to get pictures of this wall for quite some time, so Elyse and Marek were willing to amuse me
. Giant people… too funny, Marek looks kind of scared!
There is just something about the simplicity of this that I like.
They are very much in love, that is so evident.
I love that. Doesn’t everyone love to see people in love? You can even see it in something as simple as drinking coffee together.
We thought we would do some street shots with a Tacoma bridge in the background. We had to hurry out to the road, take the shot and run back in order to avoid traffic, but they look totally relaxed here.
We took it off the street for a few more shots.
This is one of my favorites. I love the overall light feeling and I especially love the looks on their faces.
A man in purple.
Sweet of them, don’t you think?
On the way back to the car we stopped to take a few more. I swear, you can take pictures anywhere! This one is just in a back staircase of a building and the sun happened to be perfect for the effect that I wanted.
And this one against a yellow truck parked in the parking lot.
We headed off again and I knew exactly where we were going. Earlier that day we had been shopping for some plants for the yard and I noticed a field across from the nursery. I am ALWAYS on the lookout for locations that just call to me and this one did! I knew as soon as I saw it that I would be taking Elyse and Marek to this location in the afternoon and I needed a balloon.
I often get visions of images I want to capture some day and I wait for the right moment to capture those. This was the moment for the balloon vision. It turned out differently than I had planned (it always does), since I couldn’t find a red heart balloon, but I found something I think I like even better! A LOVE balloon. I still might do the red heart at another time, but for this session the LOVE balloon was perfect!
I LOVE these shots!!! LOVE them!

They look like a husband/wife FBI team don’t they! Do the FBI really look this cool though, or is that just on TV?

This is another favorite of mine.
I always warn my couples that they will be kissing a lot! They never seem to mind and sometimes I have to say “ok, we’re done with this spot, ok, you guys you can stop now!”![]()

The sun is just so fabulous in these.
We decided to make a little picnic type area under a tree and we just happened to have an old book of poetry. Imagine that.

This idea came from Amanda. She has art visions as well, so is sure to tell me before I leave so I can capture it for her. I love how it turned out. The cross in-between them is just an added bonus – so not planned!
The engagement ring.
On the way back home we decided to just get a few more… famous last words for me, really, just a few more.
Fun with street signs.

Joe spotted this LOVE sign on the side of a building. It’s so fun discovering things like this when you are out on a shoot.

One last one… time to just relax.
With all this kissing and hugging going on, Joe and I always try to squeeze some in too!
THE KISS – SELF PORTRAIT![]()

xoxoxo to you all! Do lots of kissing today ok!
