I love that family portraits have changed from rigid studio images to more interactive outside images. Don’t get me wrong. I know that studio portraits have also come a long way and I’ve seen lots of really nice studio sessions, but I just love outdoors the best! I remember the first time I had outside pictures done was when my son was just a year old, but it wasn’t really a thing yet. It was just something I sought out and found. I wish I could remember who did them. I love those images! The Sawyer family picked Flaming Geyser State Park for their fall session. They loved the barn and the nearby touches of fall color. They even picked a few to add quotes to for Christmas cards and enlargements for their wall.

It’s that time of year that I get to see many of my families for their annual family session. We usually try to find a new location every year, but this year we went to a familiar spot. With the rain and work schedules it worked best! Wright Park is always the most beautiful in the fall. Nothing can beat it’s color and the Lloyd family always does a great job in picking just the right outfits. It helps that they are simply adorable too!

Addy is a 2020 Gig Harbor senior and we did her shoot in the comfort of her own home! Sessions should reflect who you are and what you like to do! Addy loves where she lives and since she’s a soccer player and she had a net in her yard, we made sure to get a few soccer images too.

I love color and this session has lots of it! It helps that it’s fall and that means lots of natural color! Solomon is a Stadium High School Senior, is school is the most beautiful school in the US. No, seriously, look it up! It’s a castle! He plays both tennis and Lacrosse, so we included those two activities in his shoot, along with his school and the family boat! It’s the beautiful northwest and we are spoiled with water, lots of water! Solomon plans on being a chiropractor someday in the future. His list of possible universities is still long, but soon he will make that decision and be on his way!
